Pronounced: [ih-loo-ma-ink; noun.]
Idea: Art + written word (+ illuminate) = illumaink
- To make lucid
- To enlighten
- From the word to illuminate (c.1560s): entertain, celebrate, display.
Lortoria McDonald is the mother of Illumaink. She enjoys being a citizen journalist for the sake of making the arts accessible to all. She thinks in pictures and uses extensive research to sync art with creative writing. Then creations are presented in a fully responsive layout to compliment the work of clients, and to encourage audience interaction. As her thirst for the arts and modest technical skills grow, so will the interactive possibilities of Illumaink.
Illumaink is ‘new’ and will respond to niche, popular and underrepresented movements. Like the name suggests, Illumaink will always strive to entertain and celebrate art by putting it in the spotlight. The challenges faced within the arts will be handled with sensitivity and humour, responding to the demands of today’s audience. Her style may not be to everyone’s taste, but if you like what you see, share with a friend.
